About Us

Chattanoogan.com was launched Sept. 1, 1999, as one of the first full-service web-only daily newspapers in the country. Since that date, it has proven to be a pace-setter in the rapidly-developing field of Internet news publishing and has drawn a wide following and readership.

Publisher is John Wilson, who was a staff writer for 28 years for the Chattanooga News-Free Press.

Those involved early included Chris Cairns, Michaela Miller, Xavier Cabezas, Shane Ashley, Jim Ashley, Irby Park and Tad Evearitt.

Other key members of Chattanoogan.com include sports writers John Hunt, B.B. Branton, Jaime Barrett, Tim Evearitt, Randy Smith and Larry Fleming, sports editors and writers Greg and Sara Davick, and writers Judy Frank and Gail Perry.
